A better relationship with oneself, including more self-awareness and self-acceptance
Become more aware of your own blocks or blind spots (thoughts, behaviours and belief system)
An increased sense of personal strength and self empowerment
Clearer sense of direction and purpose of your own life path, thereby optimizing your potential

Improved relationships with others through clear, effective and compassionate communication skills

    Become a stronger communicator
Express yourself more openly and confidently
Learn to be a better listener
Transform conflicts or disagreements into opportunities for connections and understanding in workplace, family setting and social circles.

    Cross-cultural adjustments/adaptations and intercultural relationships

Understand and feel more in tune with the local culture and norms
Find a balance in integrating into the new culture while at the same time preserving your own heritage and value system
Gain insights into underlying feelings and issues and find a constructive way in resolving differences in an intercultural relationship

Compassionate Communication (NVC) Practice Group

I am looking to start and facilitate another NVC (Non Violent Communication) practice group in White Rock/ North Delta area beginning in October/2009.

At these NVC practice group sessions, you are invited to to further explore NVC concepts and to find practical applications of those concepts as they pertain to your life through such activities as check-ins, group discussions, role-play of real life situations, empathy sessions and so on.

In a confidential and supportive group environment, you'll have the opportunity to learn and practice skills that will help you to resolve conflicts with more ease, to begin to hear the needs of others with less struggle, to be able to better understand your own needs in the moment, to learn to take responsibility for your feelings and needs and to express what you want more effectively

The practice group will meet every second Thursday from 7pm - 9pm starting October 2009. The group is open to those who have read Marshall Rosenberg's Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life.

If you are interested in joining the group to practice your communication skills in a safe and supportive environment, please email >> Helen Tang
